As a mental health therapist who's starting to build her online presence, do these thoughts ring any bells? 😣
🚩 There are already too many therapists online, I don't think I'll be successful in this space
🚩 People might think I'm only after their money
🚩 I need to learn everything, fast!
Let me ask you this: is this really YOU that's talking or are these your FEARS?🤔
It can be paralyzing to have these thoughts IF we don't do something about it.
It is not easy to build your therapy business online.
Most people are afraid to fail, or they see it as way too complicated, right?
Let's reframe these thoughts THIS WAY 👇
💡 I'm happy to see that there are many therapists like me who are venturing into the online world.
Each one of us has our own designated space and there's no need to compete or compare.
We each have our own unique style, our own specialties, and strengths, and we all offer something different to the clients who come to us for help with their problems.
We're all in this together!
💡 I know that I will help hundreds of people, if not thousands, through my expertise and core messaging, and the right people (my target audience) will appreciate what I have to offer.
I have a deep-seated passion and belief in the importance of mental health and an understanding of how to inspire and help people.
I know that we can make a difference in people’s lives by filling the gap in resources and services.
💡 It's ok to take a step-by-step approach when building your presence online.
We often see our world as a place where asking for help diminishes our value, but truthfully we are in this together, and taking a step-by-step approach to building your mental health presence online will not only make your life easier, but it can also provide a sense of belonging that is often missing from our busy lifestyles.
You won't hurt anyone or anything either by asking for help now and then.
In the same way, asking for help won't diminish my value.
Now see the difference? 😊
Thinking of these thoughts (myths) can make you feel overwhelmed for sure, but as a human being - this is normal especially if you're still starting out and if there's less to no guidance. 🤷♀️
You're embarking on a path that is new and unknown.
It takes time to build your business, but it's important to stay on top of your mental well-being. 😇
