Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

This site is run by MJ Rosario (mjrosario.com). I take your privacy seriously, and I've tried to write this in plain English instead of the usual legal fog, so you can actually tell what happens to your information here.

I only collect what I need to run my business and serve you well, I don't sell your data to anyone, and you can ask me to show you, correct, or delete what I have at any time.

If you ever have a question about any of this, email me at hello@mjrosario.com.

Who's responsible for your information

For the purposes of data protection law, I'm the person responsible for the information collected through this website — what the law calls the "data controller."  That's MJ Rosario, operating mjrosario.com. I'm based in the Philippines and work with clients internationally, including in the United States, which means your information may be processed across borders. More on that below.

What information I collect

Information you give me directly. This is anything you choose to share, such as:

  • Your name and email address when you download a free resource, subscribe to my emails, or fill out a contact or inquiry form

  • Details you share when you book or attend a discovery call (your business, your goals, what you're looking for help with)

  • Information exchanged during onboarding and the course of working together, if you become a client

  • Anything else you include when you email or message me

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, some technical information is gathered in the background through my website platform and any analytics tools I use. This can include your approximate location (based on IP address), browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. This is standard for almost every website and is used to keep the site working and understand what's useful to visitors.

How I use your information

I use what I collect to:

  • Deliver the free resources, guides, and emails you signed up for

  • Send you my newsletter and related emails — but only if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe from any of them at any time

  • Respond to your questions and inquiries

  • Schedule and prepare for discovery calls

  • Provide my services and manage our working relationship if you become a client

  • Understand how the site is being used so I can improve it

  • Keep my business running smoothly and meet my legal and tax obligations

I will never use your contact details to spam you, and I won't add you to a list you didn't ask to join.

The legal grounds I rely on

If you're in a region with data protection laws like the EU/UK (GDPR), here's the basis I rely on to use your information:

  • Your consent — for example, when you opt in to my email list. You can withdraw this at any time.

  • Performing a contract — when I need your information to deliver a service you've hired me for.

  • My legitimate interests — running and improving my business in ways you'd reasonably expect, balanced against your rights.

  • Legal obligation — when I'm required to keep certain records, such as for tax.

Cookies and tracking

Like most websites, mine uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to function properly and to understand how visitors use the site.

  • Essential cookies keep the site working (these are set by my website platform and can't really be switched off without breaking things).

  • Analytics cookies help me see which pages are useful so I can improve them.

You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time. Turning some off may affect how parts of the site work.

Who I share your information with

I don't sell your personal information, and I never will. I do rely on a few trusted services and people to run my business, and your information may pass through them strictly so they can do their job:

  • My website platform (Wix) — hosts the site and stores form submissions.

  • My email marketing platform (ActiveCampaign) — stores and sends my emails to subscribers.

  • My team — I work with a small, trusted team who may access information as needed to support you. They're held to the same standard of confidentiality I am.

  • Professional and legal requirements — I may disclose information if required by law, or to protect my rights, safety, or property.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices, and I choose ones that take data protection seriously.

How long I keep your information

I keep your information only as long as I need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.

  • If you're a subscriber, I keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.

  • If you're a client, I keep relevant records for the duration of our work together and for a reasonable period afterward, including anything I'm legally required to retain (such as financial records).

When information is no longer needed, I delete it or securely anonymize it.

Your rights

You have rights over your information, and I'll always honor them. Depending on where you live, these may include the right to:

  • Access the information I hold about you

  • Correct anything that's inaccurate

  • Delete your information ("the right to be forgotten")

  • Object to or restrict how I use it

  • Withdraw consent at any time, such as unsubscribing from emails

  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format

If you're in California (CCPA/CPRA), this includes the right to know what's collected and to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. If you're in the EU/UK, these are your GDPR rights. If you're in the Philippines, these are your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

To exercise any of these, just email me at hello@mjrosario.com and I'll take care of it. You won't be charged, and exercising your rights won't affect how I treat you.

International data transfers

I'm based in the Philippines, and many of the tools I use are based in the United States or elsewhere. That means your information may be transferred to and stored in countries with different data protection laws than your own. Wherever it goes, I take reasonable steps to make sure it's handled securely and in line with this policy.

Children's privacy

This site and my services are meant for adults running businesses. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared information with me, email me and I'll delete it.

How I protect your information

I use reasonable measures to keep your information safe and work only with reputable platforms that do the same. That said, no method of storing or transmitting data online is ever completely secure, so while I do my best, I can't promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time as my business or the law evolves. When I do, I'll change the "last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, I'll make a reasonable effort to let subscribers know.
