3 things to remember when starting out on Instagram

Do you ever feel the NEED to have an Instagram-perfect account? 🤔

You might be, especially when you're starting out and if it's the first time you're doing this.

You have this strong sense to get it right the first time or to make it work!

While that can be used as a way to motivate yourself to start doing and putting in the work, this can also put you off in MOST cases. 🤷‍♀️

Having a polished account is actually based on your own description and expectations.

While it may be a challenge to start working and promoting your therapy/coaching business on Instagram, here are some tips I've prepared for you to help you get started:

1️⃣ Create realistic and reasonable expectations for yourself

It's so easy to compare yourself to others when you're starting out.

When this happens, it's good to remember that no journey is the same - there might be similarities but your journey is yours to take and enjoy, and it is unique.

This also means it won't make sense to compare your Day 1 to someone else's day 10,000. Overnight success? I haven't read or heard of one even if they've had all the help in the world!

Building your therapy/coaching business on instagram and growing a community definitely takes time, practice, and patience.

You're going to make mistakes along the way for sure, and that's okay!

Focus on learning and improving. You'll definitely get better over time.

Remember that everyone starts somewhere, and no one has it all figured out yet (even if they seem like they do).

2️⃣ You're doing your best and learning what you can at the moment. There is no need to rush.

Remember that you are doing your best right now and this is a learning process, so there's no need to rush things or worry about making mistakes along the way.

While it is true that what got you here won't get you there, it's also crucial to think and remember that your direction is more important than speed or 'getting there right away.'

Focus on learning as much as possible about how you can use Instagram for your coaching/therapy business and start using features that you're comfortable with.

Keep doing what works best for YOU and your business! ✨

3️⃣ Enjoy the process and don't take away the fun of learning.

And finally... enjoy the process! 🥳

Don't take away all of the fun in learning something new by putting too much pressure on yourself or getting stressed out every time something doesn't go exactly as planned (which happens even for people who are experts).

As long as you keep these tips in mind, you will be able to learn and grow your Instagram presence without feeling overwhelmed. 😊

It's important to take things slow, do your best, and enjoy the process of learning.

With effort, consistency, and a bit of patience, you’ll be able to cultivate a successful and rewarding Instagram account.

Remember that starting out on Instagram can be a challenging yet rewarding journey. 💖

Cheering you on,

MJ 💕
