Remember these things as you start growing your online presence as a mental health professional

Building and growing your online presence and community as a mental health professional can be overwhelming.

With everything that you need to learn about:

  • the technical side

  • the creative side

  • the strategies that you need to take

  • not to mention the constant updates that we need to catch up on!

It's common to feel like you need to have everything figured out and be perfect before starting....

And what a way to be wrong yet I still don't regret those experiences 🤷‍♀️

It made me realize and identify what TRULY MATTERS when growing your business on Social Media.

Avoid being stuck with making everything perfect

And that's coming from me - from someone who's working on being easily anxious and has a super harsh inner critic.

It is natural to have doubts and questions about your abilities, but it is important to remember that you don't need to be perfect to start.

In fact, perfectionism can often be a hindrance to progress and success.

This was my MAJOR MISTAKE! I used to say these things a lot to myself when I was starting out:

❌ I should...

❌ I need to...

❌ I have to...

Some of these statements might be ringing some bells because you might've already experienced it or it's what's happening to you right now.

And here's what I want you to focus on:

✅ Aim to improve your skills and experiences as you grow your therapy/coaching business on Instagram.

Every pro starts as an amateur. What's important is you start with what you have right now and constantly have the drive to learn new things and unlearn some things that are not helping you grow.

It's always best to aim for progress than perfection!

✅ You will never know unless you try, test, and assess what will work for you and what won't.

Different folks different strokes!

Not all the things that work for someone will also work for you. It's best to try and test first, then assess before you conclude!

✅ Allow yourself to make mistakes along the way and learn from them. Starting small and with a clear plan in mind can help you build momentum gradually.

It's okay to commit mistakes when you're still starting out.

Sometimes the best way to learn things is by having a first-hand experience with it.

Indeed, you'll never know unless you try!

FRIENDLY TIP:

It would be best to seek help and advice from others who have experience in the same field because they can provide valuable insights and guidance.

Remember that every successful person began somewhere, and they too made mistakes along the way!
